Jeroboam, Rehoboam ~932 B.C. On death of Solomon, Rehoboam reigns Judah, but Northern kingdom of Isreal rebels under Jeroboam.
Elijah Prophet Elijah serves God in corrupt Northern kingdom. Opposes priests of Baal and ends drought.
Jezebel, Elisha Pagan Queen Jezebel kills priests, pursues Elijah. Angel comforts Elija, sends Elisha to help him.
Ahab, Naboth King Ahab and Jezebel murder Naboth and steal his vineyard. Elijah curses family of Ahab and Jezebel

Naaman, Elisha ~ 850 B.C. Elijah taken to heaven in Chariot of Fire. Elisha cures Naaman, a Syrian General, from leprosy.
Jehu Elisha anoints Jehu King of Israel. Jehu kills family of Ahab and Jezebel and destroys pagan temples throughout land.
Joash Joash, survives purge of Royal family to rule 40 years over kingdom of Judah. Death of Elisha.

Ahaz, Isaiah Ahaz defends kingdom of Judah from attacks by Syria and Israel. Prophet Isaiah foretells the birth of a redeemer.

Hezekaih ~701 B.C. Syrians under Sennacherib attack Jerusalem but retreat after outbreak of plague.
Josiah ~640 B.B. Righteous king Josiah reigns in Judah. Destroys pagan idols, finds book of Deuteronomy.
FALL OF JUDAH - JERAMIAH, JUDITH
Jeramiah Jeremiah warns Southern kingdom that it will fall to pagans if it doesn't repent.
Judith, Holofernes A Jewish widow seduces and beheads the general of the Babylonian army, saving her village.
Nebuchadnezzer End of Southern Kingdom. Jerusalem captured by Nebuchadnezzar. All but poorest people deported to Babylon.
Zedekiah Zedekiah, puppet ruler of Babylonians rebels. King is captured. Jerusalem and Temple entirely destroyed.
BABYLONIAN CAPTIVITY - DANIEL, EZEKIEL, ESTHER
Daniel Book of Daniel tells stories of Jewish captives in Babylon who refuse to worship pagan idols, are thrown into fire.
Belshazzar Daniel interprets writing on the wall, predicts fall of Babylonian Empire. Thrown in Lions den.
Ezekiel Prophet Ezekiel predicts a return of Jews to Judah.
Esther, Mordacai, Haman ~450 B.C. With help of prophet Mordachai, Esther convinces Perian Emperor to spare the Jews.
RETURN TO JUDAH - EZRA, NEHEMIAH, MACCABEES
Cyrus the Great ~539 B.C. Cyrus the Great conquers Babylon, makes it a province of Persia. Allows some Jews to return.
Ezra ~515 B.C. Second Temple of Jerusalem completed under Darius of Persia.
Nehemiah, Artaxerxes ~445 B.C. With the support of Artaxerxes, Nehemiah returns to Judah, rebuilds walls around city, and becomes governor.
Alexander the Great ~333 B.C. Persian province of Judah subdued by Alexander the Great, then falls under influence of Egyptian Ptolemies.
Antiochus the Great ~198 B.C. Judah falls under the influence of Antiochus the Great, who attempt to Helenize and suppress Jewish religion.
Judas, Simon Maccabee ~135 B.C. Sons of Mathathias Maccabee resist Helenizing Jews and secure Jewish independence from Macedonian.
Pompey ~63 B.C. Jerusalem is captured by Pompey and Judah becomes a part of the Roman province of Syria.
Herod the Great ~48 B.C. Herod the Great becomes king of the Jews and rules Judah as a Jewish province under a Roman Governor.
